The HEH Nizam Museum: Haveli Khadeem

One of the royal palaces of the Nizam’s  family. In this deori most of the Nizam lived from 1777 to 1911. This haveli is also known as Haveli Khadeem which was originally given to the governor Mir Momin of Mohmmed Quli Qutub Shah as a jagir.  

In early 2000’s one portion of Haveli Khadeem was converted as a museum which is now known as The HEH Nizam Museum with different artifacts and gifts received by 7th Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan during his Silver Jubilee ceremony. The museum guided tour will be highlighting some of the silver replicas of iconic Indo- Islamic buildings of 19th –20th century Hyderabad.

 The Nizam’s Museum chiefly displays the gifts that were presented to the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad State Mir Osman Ali Khan during his Silver Jubilee celebrations. The museum is located in the Purani Haveli, which was built in the sixteenth century and was the birthplace of the sixth and the seventh Nizam. The Haveli was renovated over the years and is a replica of eighteenth-century European architecture.
