Mecca Masjid walk

One of the oldest and biggest congregational spaces of Hyderabad which is famous for its architecture and stories. This mosque is situated right in the heart of the old city. tHis heritage experience will talk about the significance and magnificence  of  a mosque.  A special type of architectural style was used by the Qutub Shahi but then finally completed during the time of Aurangzeb’s rule in Deccan.

Mecca Masjid, one of Hyderabad’s oldest mosques, was commissioned by Sultan Muhammad Qutb Shah and later completed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Its name derives from bricks made with soil from Mecca. Reflecting Mughal grandeur, the mosque showcases stunning arches, minarets, and intricate craftsmanship, symbolizing Hyderabad's rich Islamic heritage.

Wear comfortable Indian clothes and shoes for the experience. Carry a scarf to cover the head. This heritage walk will be conducted in morning hours 8am to 10am(Summer). Friday this walk is not available.
